RiverTowne is actually two communities, RiverTowne Country Club and RiverTowne On The Wando. Both have there own community clubhouse and pool complexes.

Three sub-sections of Planters Pointe community are accessed from the entrance and RiverTowne Parkway, these are High Marsh, Saltwood and Indigo Chase.
